GIVING

Giving is an expression of obedience, yes, but also of gratitude, trust, and increasingly, joy. As Christians giving has to be part of our daily life and a way God seeks out and recognizes those who worship him. Most importantly, people most times don’t give from the abundance of what they have but from their little. Giving itself is a gift!

There are different kinds of givers: grudge givers and thanks givers. Grudge givers feel like they are forced to give, or they give to please others, they don’t give willingly and wholeheartedly. it is believed that those who don’t give close many doors of blessings. Those who don’t give, still need to humble themselves before God, which means they can’t trust in themselves for their salvation. Thanks-givers give willingly from their hearts and don’t accept anything in return after giving. Giving is a reminder that God is the supplier of everything we have. It is also God’s invitation to an outpouring of his blessings in your life.

As Christians and human beings, we must learn how to look out for each other and build up the power of relationships. By giving to charity, you may be helping to remind friends and family of causes they are passionate about and would like to support. Remember whoever sows sparingly will reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion for God loves cheerful givers. No matter what situation you are in try to reach out to the needy.
